The Biblical Concourse Campus™ brings the supporting activities of a traditional campus to your home through telephone, web, and video conferencing. This means that you can wander into a teacher's office and visit with the teacher any time his or her door is open. You will see each other live, using video conferencing technologies. You'll understand what philosopher and educator Ivan Illich meant when he stated that: "… A second major illusion on which the school system rests is that most learning is the result of teaching. Teaching, it is true, may contribute to certain kinds of learning under certain circumstances. But most people acquire most of their knowledge outside school, and in school only insofar as school, in a few rich countries, has become their place of confinement during an increasing part of their lives. Most learning happens casually, and even most intentional learning is not the result of programmed instruction. Where we are... |
 The Concourse Campus is located in the homes and businesses of its participants. This minimizes the cost of higher education allowing students to invest directly in building their own libraries, offices, shops, laboratories, centers and businesses. Red dots are teacher locations, gray dots are student locations. |
The Education Center The Concourse management activities are already beginning to outgrow the home office in which they began. Therefore, we are designing additional operations space. This small (100' x50') education center will host many outreach activities and operations activities plus broadcast events in a way that connects Biblically minded families and brings Christ and His Word to and through various professions. The Education Center Purposes... This education center will be: (1) A place to host people working in Concourse operations. (2) A place for developing and hosting projects and outreach retreats & conferences. (3) A physical place for families to visit and share fellowship. This fellowship aspect is an important factor for encouraging families, as they stand together counter culturally in Christ and seek the Spirit’s leading while implementing Biblical truth in higher education and many professions. (4) A place which encourages and enables multi-generational faithfulness to God. Young people will be encouraged to implement their Biblical worldview in their specific disciplines, in the context of their family and local community. |
