COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Bible encourages entrepreneurial freedom (1 Corinthians 7:21) and serving others (Mark 10:45), but many Christians need additional Biblical encouragement and practical direction to get away from the slave-like employment mind set and into a culture changing and family friendly business/ministry venture.
In this course, related Scripture will be memorized and instruction will cover how to write a business plan, the practical nature of market research, and where to obtain the needed capital. Subtopics include how to evaluate a potential business location, simplified business tax filing, principles for success and reasons for failures, Biblical perspectives and directions on financing, identifying personal business ideas, and the issues with buying a franchise. Students will develop promotional materials for their own business, file for a business trade name, and be launched into their own productive ministry/business venture.
Quote to ponder : "If thou mayest be made free, use it rather."
